Introvert Me

ThoughtCatalog nailed this one.

1. You’re not anti-social, you’re selectively social.
2. At any given point, you have one (maybe two) best friends who are your entire life. You’re not a “group of friends” person. You can’t keep up with all that.

Seems like it is describing me on some extent.

The comments sections has a lot of comments from what seems to be professionals. Well, they make sense. "Barnum effect", Ambivert, and mostly physiologically correct stuff. Commenters know their Psychology. Some stuff written on the list maybe contradicting on the extrovert/introvert shit or as a Barnum Effect, everything written is agreeable, like you're in a middle even though the description is for an introvert but with some extroversion in them.

So am I an ambivert? I don't think so. I don't like to be in the middle, like 50-50. I am more on the introvert side. The extroversion side of course it happens, when social or professional norm call for it. But that does not happen all the time. It is very tiring to keep the energy level and being socially pleasant all the time, especially when I am around managers. It is hard to maintain a smile and be funny all the time.

I took this online test and this is what the test say:

Sociability
According to your results you appear to be the type of person who doesn't socialize often. You likely have a limited social network, and possibly aren't really interested in extending it beyond a few close and intimate friendships. Having an active social life apparently isn't the most important thing to you. Chances are that when the opportunity arises to socialize among a large group of people, you'll likely turn it down if possible. This doesn't necessarily mean you don't enjoy socializing or being around people. Rather, you generally prefer spending time with smaller groups of friends. Individuals who score similarly to you typically aren't conversation-starters, especially with people they aren't familiar with. In addition, they aren't known to be exceptionally outgoing, unless among close friends.
